But first, here’s a welcome from Steve Hepworth, our Chief Exec
A bit about us
Not only are we the largest housing provider in the region, but we also offer heating and plumbing, roofing and recruitment services to individuals and businesses, as well as offering two local hubs (The Arc and The Viking Centre) for our communities to use and enjoy the activities on offer.
We’re local too – our main office is in Scunthorpe (Ongo House, Church Square), and we have homes throughout North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Lincolnshire, South Yorkshire and West Lindsey. You can see our property areas here.
As a group of companies, we have one aim that everything we do supports and enhances local people and the communities that they live in.

My Home is our free app is used for managing your tenancy and doing things like paying your rent, checking rent statements, setting up Direct Debits and reporting and tracking repairs.

We offer a range of different services to support people, from mental health counselling through Ongo Talk, to help with progressing into training, education and employment.
Ongo Talk – free mental health counselling for you and your household
If you, or someone you know needs mental health support, our Ongo Talk service can help. We have a team of counsellors who can help to support you with a range of issues. With no long waiting lists, you’ll be speaking to the team soon after you get in touch.
You choose the setting, whether it’s in-person or over the phone – our friendly team of counsellors are on-hand to support wherever it suits you.
This service is free for you and your household as an Ongo tenant.
Alongside mental health support, we also provide a range of different services to help you to boost your confidence and develop the skills you need for work, education or training.
These include help with job searching and CV writing, work experience and placements, social activities and days out to boost your mood.

From Community Voice to Tenant Inspectors and Environmental Champions, there’s a group for everyone.
We have a Neighbourhood Services Team who help to keep our neighbourhoods safe, clean and tidy. They work in partnership with other agencies and they oversee all grass cutting and hedge/shrub maintenance.
We have two hubs in the region; The Viking Centre, in Barton-upon-Humber, and The Arc, in Scunthorpe. Both buildings offer a range of activities for people and are the beating heart of their local communities.
The Arc provides a safe and welcoming environment, with regular activities such as Stay and Play for mums and their tots, games mornings, a monthly autism support group, and coffee mornings. There’s event a Post Office and our Arcafe; our restaurant which serves hot and cold food and drinks.
The Viking Centre is a community centre and youth club, and brings the residents of Barton and beyond together. The brilliant team host lots of activities, from bingo to regular tea clubs for families, and day trips out to places like Big Fun soft play, not to mention the fantastic Halloween disco and other special events. They also have a café open every Thursday!
We have a clear aim as a business when it comes to sustainability, and that’s to reach net zero by 2050. You can see how we intend to do this here.
We can all do our share to protect the planet. Whether that’s by understanding how to save energy at home or to live a greener lifestyle and save water, you can reduce your energy use and save money while doing so!
