Trent View House gas leak

Repair work on the main gas supply at Scunthorpe’s Trent View House will begin on Monday 21 November 2016.

Twenty-six flats have been left without gas since Thursday 10 November, when National Grid confirmed there was a fault with the supply.

The repair work is expected to take up to four weeks.

The fault lies with the National Grid supply. National Grid has supplied affected tenants with heating and cooking facilities, where needed, and they all have a hot water supply.

They have all been personally contacted and made aware of the timescales for repairs.

Neil Webster, Head of Regeneration at Ongo, said “Whilst we understand the significant disruption this causes to our tenants, the fault and repair is in the hands of National Grid.

“We are very grateful for the patience shown by our residents and are pleased that a plan for the repair work is now in place.

“If anyone does have any welfare issues or is worried about a vulnerable tenant, please contact us.”
