Bring on the dubble bubble challenge

Thirty nine Ongo staff members are taking on the Dubble Bubble challenge to raise as much money as possible for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

On Sunday 24 July 2016, hundreds of people are due to complete a 5km course which will see them run, dance, walk or skip through four different coloured ‘Bubble Rush’ stations where millions of colourful bubbles will be released from high-powered foam cannons covering people from head to toe.

This colourtastic family fun day is taking place at North Lindsey College between 2pm and 4pm and Ongo is sponsoring the pink bubbles.

Wendy Wolfe, Customer Engagement Manager and head of the Ongo Team, said: “We think Lindsey Lodge Hospice does remarkable things to support the people of North Lincolnshire in their greatest time of need.

“We have long supported their work and we have first-hand experience of what they offer both for people who have life threatening illnesses but also their families.

“I’m very proud we are able to enter so many staff members into this year’s colourtastic event. It’s going to be lots of fun and we hope lots of people come along to support the runners as well as enjoy the family fun day.

“At Ongo we have a promise that everything we do is put back into local communities, so it makes sense for us to support our friends at Lindsey Lodge Hospice.”

Andy Hirst, Corporate Fundraising & Events Co-ordinator at Lindsey Lodge, said: “Ongo has always supported our events, Dubble Bubble is our most exciting event so far and it just wouldn’t be the same without them. They are entering a great big team this year and I suspect it is something to do with getting covered in bubbles.

“The staff are brilliant at raising funds for the hospice and over the years have raised thousands of pounds. Their generous support goes a long way towards meeting the £2.4 million we need to find each year and we hope they have a bubbling good day.”
