Talent Match is coming to Barton

The  Ongo Communities Talent Match programme will be launching at the Viking Resource Centre in Barton-upon-Humber on Thursday 25 February 2016.

Talent Match is a programme for 18-24-year-olds who are not currently in employment, education or training.

Run by a team of dedicated and trained mentors, Talent Match works with young people in group sessions and on an individual basis to build up their skills and confidence.

They will also be given support in applying for jobs, preparing for interviews, building confidence and life skills along with group activities to improve their team working ability.

Hayley Cullen, Operational Manager, oversees the running of Talent Match. She said: “It’s brilliant news that we are extending our Talent Match programme to Barton. There has been a lot of interest already from young people living in the area and we hope to make this a big success.

“As well as the training and mentoring sessions, we will be offering a playgroup session on a Thursday from 1pm to 2.30pm for those with children. If anyone is interested they can call us on 01724 844848 or visit the Viking Resource Centre, 6-8 Fairfield Drive in Barton.”
