Brand new homes in Broughton

Thirteen new homes costing just over £1 million have been built in Broughton and are aimed at people over the age of 50.

The two-bedroom bungalows were funded by Ongo with some grant assistance from the Homes and Communities Agency. They were built in partnership with local developer, TG Sowerby and took almost 12 months to complete.

Available to rent from 31 March, anyone interested in the homes can bid in the usual way on the Homes Choice Lincs website from 24 February.

Martin Phillips, Development Manager at Ongo, is pleased with the finished result. He said: “These brand new, modern homes have been built to a high specification, really making the best use of space at the site of our old sheltered scheme in Broughton. They’re light and airy with lots of modern features – which will make them brilliant homes to live in.

“We took care during the construction phase to treat adjoining residents with respect and make sure there was as little disruption as possible. We also wanted to protect the environment where possible, and made sure roosting bats and birds were protected during the building phase.”
