Gas Engineer - Plumber JD.pdf

Gas Engineer/Plumber (3)

Hello… Here at ongo, we believe everyone has the potential to be great. It’s what drives us to come to work and do our jobs every day.

Most people know us as a landlord providing homes to 10,000 people and their families. But homes aren’t our business, people are.

We want to appoint a Gas Engineer/Plumber within our busy maintenance team; the salary for this position is £25,748 per annum (grade 7 introductory) moving to £29,517 after a successful 6 month probationary period. This is a full time permanent role.2

You will undertake both Gas and Plumbing repairs to a high standard on a wide range of properties, including housing stock and Commercial Buildings within Ongo Homes. You must be willing to work flexibly between the hours of 8.00am and 6.00pm and take part in the provision of our out of hour’s emergency repairs service (additional payments apply) on a rota basis which will include weekend working.

All our maintenance staff need to be multi-skilled in all basic building maintenance skills.

As an experienced Gas Engineer/Plumber, you will have a Gas/Plumbing craft certificate to NVQ level 3, City & Guilds or hold equivalent qualifications. You will be an enthusiastic and determined individual who is committed to customer service and who has the ability to communicate efficiently with a diverse range of customers.

As users of the disability confident scheme, we guarantee to interview all disabled applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the vacancy.
