Your Annual Report for 2020/21 is here

Our performance and achievements from March 2020 to April 2021 are now available to view online in our latest Annual Report.

This year’s features a design voted on by tenants and members of the community, along with interactivity.

Highlights include our upgrade to a G2 rating in Governance and building 182 new homes. This includes our new retirement living scheme in Gainsborough (Chesleigh House), and completing our £9 million regeneration project in Westcliff.

Replacing heating systems, spending £500,000 on upgrading roofs, and £1milllion on rewiring work, new kitchens and bathrooms was also a key focus.

Information on our £1milion investment on projects to improve communities can be read, along with how tenants have continued to influence decisions during the pandemic, and how we’ve supported those most in need.

Another highlight is achieving our lowest ever rent arrears, through proactively helping their tenants.  They now stand at around £600,000 which is half what it was in 2018.

Steve Hepworth, Chief Executive, commented: “The last 12 months have, without doubt, been like no other. It’s been the most challenging year for us as an organisation, but also one I’ve felt very proud to be part of Ongo.

 “I’m proud of the way every single one of my colleagues stepped up to the challenge we were faced with. And how their number one priority was to make sure we could continue offering our essential services.

 “I’m proud of our tenants and customers. They were patient, and accepted when we were unable to offer certain services due to the restrictions we faced, and tenants and customers adapted to new ways of working with us.

“Despite the pandemic we still achieved a lot of great things with the support and input of our tenants.”
