We're working with the fire service to train teams
We are working in partnership with Humberside Fire and Rescue to carry out training exercises and a simulated emergency response in our high rise buildings.
On the evenings of November 22, 23, 29 and December 6, teams will be at Market Hill flats in Scunthorpe, performing drill exercises.
This will allow all active and relief watches the chance to train at the flats, bringing equipment up and down to get a feel for the buildings and how a real response would operate.
We will also be demonstrating our locksmith service, providing training on the best way to gain access in the case of an emergency.
Matthew Hubbert, Building Compliance Manager at Ongo said: “We’re delighted to be working together with the fire service to carry out this training and are very glad to help.
“It’s good for us to share knowledge and it helps to protect the community too, these exercises will help to give the teams a greater understanding of our high rise buildings.
“We have a fantastic relationship with the team and look forward to more initiatives in the future to improve safety.”
Those living at Market Hill in Scunthorpe have been made aware of these training exercises.
