Stop smoking project

We are working with Public Health England and North Lincolnshire Council to help North Lincs residents over the age of 18 to quit smoking.

Those taking part will have access to free one to one support over a four-week period, plus free Nicotine Replacement Therapy (NRT) products.

This includes nicotine patches, inhalators and mouth sprays, along with rechargeable vapes and liquids.

So far:

  • 47 people have signed up for support
  • 50 have accessed Swap to Stop kits
  • 14 have successfully quit smoking
  • 22 colleagues VBA (Very Brief Advice) trained

Daniel, the first people to stop smoking as part of the project said, “I had been a smoker for 25 years, but after four weeks of support through this project, I have stopped smoking. I feel a lot happier and also now have more money in my pocket. Thank you to Ongo!”
