Settled in Skellingthorpe

28 homes have been built in Skellingthorpe (five miles from Lincoln), which includes a mixture of bungalows and houses.

Sarah moved into one of the new homes in January. She explained: “I had lived in Skellingthorpe for seven years, so I saw the development grow from a building site to completion and always hoped that I would be able to live there.

“I applied and, as soon as I stepped inside the home for a first viewing, I knew it was right. The whole process was very smooth from start to finish, with our Lettings Officer Laura answering any questions that I had and being reassuring throughout.

“My children didn’t know anything about it, so I surprised them and they were thrilled at the news. It was a magical feeling for us all.

“The spacious three-bed home is perfect for our needs. The kids love having their own bedrooms, and we particularly appreciate the size of the kitchen which allows us to spend quality time together at mealtimes. They can play outside safely within the community, plus now being able to walk to and from school is ideal for their independence.

“We are now very settled, and our future as a family is looking good.“
