We raise £340 for Breast Cancer Now

Our colleagues have raised a total of £340 for Breast Cancer Now, as part of Wear it Pink day celebrations.

Breast Cancer is the UK’s largest charity supporting this condition. Their aim is that by 2050, everyone who develops the disease will live and receive the support they need to live well.

Lots of fun from a Barbie themed pink day dress code, cake sale, pink tombola and picture competition were on offer, with staff from teams across the organisation taking part.

We have been involved with various charities throughout the year, from sharing information to raising money for them. Most recently with Macmilllan coffee mornings and a 10-mile Glow Walk, which helped raise money for Lindsey Lodge Hospice in Scunthorpe.

Wendy Wolfe, Customer Experience Manager here at Ongo, said: “As someone who has gone through breast cancer, I am passionate about Pink Day and helping to increase awareness as much as possible.

“All money raised from today will go towards helping to fund life-changing breast cancer research and support, and I’m very proud of that.

“I’m grateful to all of my colleagues for supporting and my team for helping to organise today, it means so much.”
