It’s ASB Awareness Week
ASB Awareness Week is a national campaign aimed at raising awareness about anti-social behaviour (ASB) and promoting actions to tackle it.
It happens between 18th – 24th November and this year will focus on the theme #MakingCommunitiesSafer. It’s a great opportunity for communities to come together, share resources, and learn how to effectively deal with ASB.
Anti-social behaviour includes things such as excessive dog barking, regular loud music, overgrown gardens, criminal damage, shouting, swearing and verbal abuse.
Key Statistics:
- From November 13, 2023, to November 13, 2024, 1,199 ASB cases were reported to us, with 79% of those cases now closed.
- Of the closed cases, 86% were successfully resolved. There are action plans in place for those cases we were not able to resolve.
- 758 tenants provided feedback on the ASB Policy survey, which is currently under consultation.
- In September this year, 947 tenants completed a questionnaire on the landlord services that we deliver. This will shape the future of ASB services at Ongo and will support our objective of being a great landlord
ASB Awareness Week is an excellent opportunity for residents to come together, share their experiences, and learn more about how to combat anti-social behaviour in their communities. We are committed to supporting these efforts and ensuring a safer environment for everyone.
