Ashbridge Roofing create six new roles

Ashbridge Roofing has announced plans to expand their team, as part of their commitment to support the local community and boost skills in the area.

The firm has been operating for over 30 years and are based in Scunthorpe. They provide domestic and commercial roofing across the region and are part of our Ongo group.

In July 2021 the team took on four new roofing apprentices, and two Kickstart placements who will help prepare and deliver roofing materials to site following a surge in workload.

The Kickstart scheme provides funding to employers to create six month long placements for people between 16 and 24 years old and currently receiving Universal Credit. It’s open to all businesses, with no limit to the amount of placements that can be created.

Rob Cully, Manager at Ashbridge Roofing said: “We are over the moon to be expanding our team. We now have 27 members of staff and are continuing to grow. Our new team members have already settled in well and are working hard to deliver our services,

“It’s a great opportunity for us, but also for our new colleagues to learn and get qualifications, whilst also getting on the job experience.
