2021, a year to remember for Hales and Coultas

Hales and Coultas are celebrating their most successful year yet, with huge new contracts and growing support for community initiatives.

The plumbing and heating company, based in Scunthorpe, is part of our Ongo Family. It has been operating for over 30 years, and specialises in domestic and commercial services.

Over the last 12 months they have replaced over 150 new heating systems, giving customers a safe, more efficient and economical solution.

The team also secured four new contracts to fit air source heat pumps to a number of homes in the Scunthorpe area. So far 14 have been installed, providing a more eco-friendly heating system and supporting the team’s aim of being carbon neutral by 2025.

Another substantial contract worth around £1million each year was awarded to the team in June 2021, after completing a rigorous tender exercise. This will include planned installations, ad-hoc maintenance and repairs, and out of hours service cover.

Since January 2021 they have donated a total of £16,922 to community projects. This has benefitted an allotment project, which aims to create pride on estates and boost mental health and wellbeing through practical gardening skills.

Another project is ‘Raising Aspirations’ which employs Youth Mentors to work with young people to inspire and encourage them to grow to their full potential as involved members of our community. Most recently they made a large £10k donation to Scunthorpe Imps amateur boxing club, as they were at risk of closure.

During lockdown the team also took on the role of delivering care packages to those most in need, with more than 100 people benefitting.
