Celebrate VE Day
Get involved and celebrate the 75th anniversary of VE Day in lockdown.
The anniversary of Victory in Europe Day on 8 May was set to be a significant occasion, with the May bank holiday moved and large scale events planned to commemorate the landmark.
Along with loads of information, there are packs for children and adults that include puzzles, recipes, extracts from Churchill speeches, lyrics to war songs and much more.
Kevin Hornsby, Director of Communities said: “We think it’s really important that important occasions like this are still marked and we still celebrate them, even in lockdown.
“I know there were huge events planned for this, but we hope that by sharing information and these activity packs, people will still get involved and commemorate the day.”
