Hello… Here at Ongo, we believe everyone has the potential to be great. It’s what drives us to come to work and do our jobs every day.
Most people know us as a landlord providing homes to 10,000 people and their families. But homes aren’t our business, people are.
We now wish to appoint an Income Officer with a starting salary of £21,171 moving up to £23,931 after a successful probation period. This is temporary until August 2019, part time position with a working week of 20 hours.
As part of our generous employment package you will receive 25 days annual leave per annum plus bank holidays (pro rata for part time), enrolled into our contributory Aviva pension scheme and put into our company paid health scheme. We have an excellent health and wellbeing programme in which staff are actively encouraged to get involved in alongside volunteering opportunities at events such as the Ongo Carnival.
Dealing promptly and efficiently with individual cases in order to maximise income and minimise the amount of debt outstanding to Ongo Homes, you will be a skilled negotiator with first class communication skills who is empathetic but firm, and unafraid to make difficult decisions.
You will be numerate and proficient in a variety of IT packages, particularly Microsoft office. An understanding of housing and welfare benefits, combined with experience of working in a housing related field and debt advice knowledge, would be an advantage but not essential. Commitment and enthusiasm, along with the ability to work on your own initiative with a variety of internal staff and with external customers/agencies in demanding circumstances, is equally important.
